| Salt Mine Tourism |
 |
 |
Salt mining has fostered tourism across the world in places like Germany (Saltzberg/Bad Reichenhall), Poland (Krakow), and the USA (Kansas), which are famed for their salt rooms, underground cathedrals and museums.
The Tellus salt mine has the potential to add value to the tourism industry by providing another tourist attraction.
Tellus will look for partnerships with local tour operators to capitalise on developing the mine as a potential tourist attraction.
Tellus will not run any tourist ventures but is open to explore ideas such as:
- tours of the salt mine and visitor centre / salt museums;
- use of salt for “artsalt” painting, carving and art exhibitions;
- health spa - therapeutic salt rooms for health and wellbeing (halotherapy), salt pools and body scrubs.
- halotherapy rooms in combination with purpose built accommodation and camp facilities in an area of vast natural beauty;
- mini-golf in a mine gallery (a horizontal mining passage);
Tellus will maintain the natural, low key character of the area.
