To deliver on our commitment we will:
- ensure that health and safety management practices are part of all aspects of our operations;
- develop a risk management approach to the identification and control of hazards, to eliminate, or manage the risk;
- consult with and promote the active participation of employees and contractors in the management of their own and others' safety and health;
- adopt a systematic approach to health and safety management to ensure continual performance improvement;
- meet and, where appropriate, exceed applicable legal and other requirements;
- set and achieve measurable targets to continually improve our safety and health performance; and
- periodically review, feedback and improve our safety and health policy and procedures.
The Tellus Holdings SHEC (Safety Health Environment Community) Management System is being developed in accordance with:
- Tellus Holding's SHEC policies, standards and procedures
- applicable legislation
- industry best practice
- incident investigation findings
- audit findings
- risk assessments
- the process of continuous improvement.
Tellus requires all persons in the workplace to:
- know and understand their responsibilities and the precautions necessary for their safety
- adhere to safe work practices, instructions, rules and statutory requirements
- promptly report hazards and incidents and take action to ensure the workplace is safe
- use safeguards and equipment correctly
- not place themselves or others at risk.
Safety is the cornerstone of all Tellus operations and the foundation on which the Company's production efficiency and financial results are built. |
